spring in full swing

Chilly days are a perfectly natural part of springtime in New York City. All the better to dream and scheme about the year ahead with a cup of tea in hand. But after a few truly mild days this past week, my little sproutlings in our pop-up greenhouse at 6 & B are finally taking off, and the season feels as if it's truly on its way. So far, I've planted chamomile, holy basil, sweet peas, zinnias, nasturtiums, chocolate lace flowers, wild fennel and dill. It's unlikely that I'll have room for all of it in our 8 by 4 foot community garden plot, but that never stops me from going overboard with the seed starting - it's all just so hopeful!

Our spring collection is now available in the shop, including this year's Spring Getaway Kit, a collection of seasonal treats for skin & spirit to help you bloom like a primrose. I'm also so delighted that our packaging update is finally done, the switch to light protective glass is a meaningful step toward protecting the precious botanical ingredients we use and helping to extend the shelf life of our products without the use of preservatives. You'll also notice some shifts in our skincare offerings, reflecting my continued commitment to help simplify the way you care for your skin. The new Rose & Chamomile Honey Clay Cleanser harnesses the same skin-loving powers of raw honey that our Cleansing Nectar did, with a little more cleansing oomph, and it combines beautifully with our Rose & Chamomile Cleansing Grains for a deeper cleansing treatment that's similar to our beloved Rose & Chamomile Scrub. The goal? Fewer products that do more. I've also updated our Mini Facial Kit to include a few more treats and it comes with a lovely card to get you started on creating your own skincare ritual. Check out the new "ritual" section of the website, as well, for inspiration!

And in the spirit of all things brand new and blossoming, we'll be moving studios again this year! The light-filled space in the Garment District where we've been since last September has served us well, but we're on the hunt for space downtown (Manhattan!) beginning the last week of July 2016. Just want to put that out there, because you just never know how a magical space is going to find you. We're using all the usual suspects in our search, but if you know of something that could be a good fit, please get in touch at hello@marbleandmilkweed.com.
