thinking of Maine (No. 1)

10.14.2012

As cooler days wrap themselves around us at our cozy house on Rivington Street, I've been reminiscing  about the beautiful time I spent in Maine this summer. I wanted to wait to share the photos of my time there until just the right moment - chilly mornings when we brew endless pots of tea and wish we could stay in bed all day. Thinking of these summer days is the perfect antidote, and a seed of inspiration at the beginning of the season of dreaming.

  1. Beautiful!!! Where did all the produce come from, and what is that room with the paintings-a home or a commercial space?? It's all stunning!
    Take care,

    1. Hi Sharon - thank you! The produce is from Chase's Daily in Belfast, Maine. They have a great cafe & restaurant in a beautiful old raw space, and they also have their own farm, which delivers all their fresh produce. Much of it goes to the restaurant kitchen, and the rest is sold farmer's market-style in the back of the space beginning around 11am every day. They have art exhibits in the space on a rotating basis, as well. It was one of our favorite places to go!

      Warm wishes,

      Briar
